I’m Tashanna Brown, MSN, FNP-BC, a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible, and evidence-based healthcare for adults. My mission is to make quality healthcare personal, convenient, and accessible through secure telehealth and individualized patient care.
With more than a decade of nursing experience and years of advanced practice experience, I’ve cared for patients in primary care, internal medicine, hematology and oncology, pain management, home-based primary care, and telehealth. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to treating the whole person, not just their symptoms.
I founded Brown Family Health to build lasting relationships with patients while helping them prevent illness, manage chronic conditions, achieve healthy weight loss, quit smoking, and improve their overall health. Every treatment plan is personalized to support each patient’s unique goals and lifestyle.

Telehealth visits are conducted over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. After booking your appointment, you will receive a link to join from your smartphone, tablet, or computer — no special software required. Your provider will review your concerns, examine you virtually, and provide a care plan, prescriptions, or referrals when clinically appropriate.
Brown Family Health accepts patients with or without insurance. We offer transparent self-pay pricing for all visits. Please contact us to discuss your options — we are committed to making quality care accessible.
Yes. Lab and imaging orders can be placed during your telehealth visit. You will receive an order you can take to a local lab or imaging center of your choice. Results are reviewed and discussed with you during a follow-up visit or through our secure patient portal.
Yes. Prescriptions can be sent electronically to your pharmacy when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances are subject to state and federal regulations and may require additional evaluation. Certain medications, including Suboxone/buprenorphine for medication-assisted treatment, are available when clinically indicated.
Brown Family Health provides telehealth services to eligible patients throughout New York State. Select telehealth services are available in Florida where permitted by state law. In-person visits are available at our Westbury, NY office by appointment only, scheduled by phone.
Most care at Brown Family Health is delivered via telehealth. In-person visits may be required for annual physicals, employment and sports physicals, return-to-work evaluations, fitness-for-duty evaluations, Medicare Annual Wellness Visits, Veterans Disability Examinations, and certain medical form completions. In-person appointments are by phone scheduling only.
Telehealth appointments can be booked online using our secure booking link. In-person appointments at our Westbury, NY office are scheduled by phone only. Same-day visits are available when slots are open — book early to secure your preferred time.
